Bob Odenkirk reprises his role as Jimmy McGill, a lawyer who is engaged in a feud with his lawyer brother Chuck ( Michael McKean), who believes Jimmy is unfit and unqualified to be a lawyer and plots to have him disbarred from the practice. The year is 2003 by the third season's conclusion.
The third season immediately follows the events of the second season, which take place in late 2002. A spin-off of Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul was created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, both of whom also worked on Breaking Bad. The ten-episode season was broadcast on Monday nights in the United States on AMC.

It's all he has/knows.The third season of the American television drama series Better Call Saul premiered on April 10, 2017, and concluded on June 19, 2017. I think over the past season he's really come into his own in distancing himself from Chuck's hold on him, and all he really cares about now is the Firm. He's always bent to Chuck because he's used to Chuck being an authority figure - and also being integral to the firm. And I think the only thing he has is "THE FIRM". He's been trained to be like that his WHOLE LIFE. Notice how Howard is in public-face mode 100% of the time, always in a suit, always stiff with his movements and a little fake. This, to me, means that Howard spent his whole life being groomed to be a Hamlin in the Hamlin Firm. We can also assume that Papa H isn't around anymore, seeing as he's not involved in any of the Chuck business. We know he wanted to go into solo practice, but his father wanted him to join the firm, "throw another H on the logo." We can assume that his father and Chuck started the firm together, so Chuck is older than Howard and probably somewhat of an uncle figure. We know Howard was born into the upper crust, getting his first checkbook when he was 8 or something like that.
